Existing Parts: Motherboard: MSI MPG Z390 GAMING PRO CARBON (MS-7B17), CPU:Intel I7 9700K, GPU, MSI 970, PSU: Corsair RM750X, RAM: Corsair Vengance 16GB 3200MHz, Case: NZXT H510.

 

Hi i'm looking to upgrade my GPU to something newer and better. I Mainly play CS:GO and Apex Legends, my 970 is not doing well when playing apex even on the lowest settings so it's long overdue for an upgrade. 
My question is what GPU is the best value for my budget and if there is anything else that i need to upgrade aswell to avoid compability issues / bottlenecks.

Youd definitely benefit from both being upgraded as you are on 1080p which is CPU bounded especially on CSGO. Whats the rest of the spec like storage, coolers, fans, etc.

So you think that i need to upgrade the CPU aswell? Storage: Corsair force MP510 960GB, Samsung SSD 840 120GB, Samsung SSD 850 250GB. Cooler: i think it is the Corsair H100 AIO cooler. Fans: 4 NZXT fans. Except from that it shouldn't be anything out of the ordinary.

I wish i could get a better airflow case, but honestly just remove the solid front panel and keep the dust cover on as finger protection. Youll be miles better with that, yes even compared to the flow panel equipped version of the case.
