Since you still cant get inti bios, then try resetting cmos manually https://www.asus.com/support/FAQ/1040820. See of that fixes it

If not i would still recommend bending the pins back if you are comfortable with it

Thank you again for your advise and suggestions!

Hi, so I built my computer a few months ago and a little while back the computer wont boot up unless I hold the F1 key and I am unable to get into the BIOS. Once I hold F1 it boots right up and the computer runs great, and all temps are good. Any advise or suggestions on how to fix this?

Definitely sounds like a motherboard/bios issue. What are you specs? Can you get into bios through windows advance startup?

Motherboard is a ASUS Prime Z790-P LGA 1700 with a Intel i7-12700Kf.

And I don't know how to get into it through the windows advanced startup.

Click the restart button in windows while holding down shift, it should boot into advance startup, then go Troubleshooting > Advanced Options > UEFI Firmware Settings then try setting it to default

You can also try clearing cmos through hardware https://www.asus.com/support/FAQ/1040820

So i was unable to access advanced startup. but i did remove my CPU and noticed that there are a few bent pins, could this be the culprit?

That could definitely be the issue, its weird that the pc even boots if that's the case. Since you have an intel system, do you mean bent pins in the LGA socket on the motherboard?
Could you take a picture?

Yea the pins are in the LGA socket. I'd have to take the CPU off again to get a picture. And I agree, I didnt think it would boot at all. From what i could see it was about 4 pins that are bent over, they dont appear to be touching other pins and must be making some sort of contact with the CPU.

I tried resetting the cmos and it didnt fix it, and as much as i want to try and straighten the pins i wont attempt it because id probably make it worse lol. for now ill just leave things the way they are since once the comp boots everything runs fine and sometime down the road ill look at potentially replacing the motherboard. ill probably do it when i decide to upgrade my GPU, since im using a used GTX 1080 i was gifted.
