Looks OK. Will you be using the stock cooler?

I've been using computers since around 1978, started learning programming in 1980 on Apple IIs, started learning about hardware in 1990, ran a BBS from 1990-95, built my first Windows PC around 2000, taught myself malware removal starting in 2005 (also learned on Bleeping Computer), learned web dev starting in 2017, and I think I can fill a thimble with all that knowledge. 😉 I'm not an expert, which is why I keep investigating the answers that others give to try and improve my knowledge, so feel free to double-check the advice I give.

My phone's auto-correct is named Otto Rong.🤪😂

The other mainboard you choose did not have BIOS flash back so you would have had a problem if it was old stock. With ne new mainboard you can flash the BIOS even if the one it ships with does not support the 5500. (Plus its chapter, better and you dont have any benefits with going with a B550 board because the 5500 does not support PCIe 4.0 anyway its more or less a rebatched 3600)

pretty decent, don't buy know though. Wait till easter then make a parts list, you will find better prices and will probably be able to by better gear.

My First PC
CPU: Ryzen 5 5600x
Cooler: Asus TUF Gaming LC240
Motherboard: Asus ROG Strix B550-f gaming
RAM: 4x8 GB Corsair Vengeance RS (3200 MHz, CL16)
Storage: 1tb Samsung 980 Pro
Graphics Card: Asus Dual RTX 2060 OC
Case: Deepcool Matrexx 50
Power Supply: Corsair RM650x

Only changes I have made is I sold the 2060 for $235 AUD and bought a Powercolor Red Devil 6700 XT for $400 second hand (it was barely used, think I scored a deal on Ebay with that).

I love Photography (Using a Canon 60D)

Love F1, my favourite team is Ferrari and my favourite driver is Leclerc

Hello, I saw your list and I made some changes. I switched out the CPU because the Ryzen 5 5500 is the dame as the 3600 so I just went with the 3600 because it's a bit cheaper. Since I was able to save some on the CPU I got you a better Motherboard, I went from B450 to B550 and it has much better features and upgrade-ability. The RAM I picked is the same speed you had but it has some RGB bling to it. I was able to fit a 1TB M.2 drive in the price. I changed the case and the one I have has 3 RGB fans included and its cheaper. I swapped out the Power Supply for a lower wattage unit but still really decent and I saved some money with it. All together I really Boosted what you were already building upon and I hope you like it. Please let me know if you have any questions, I have 30 years experience building PCs?
