Hardware :

PRIME X670E-PRO WIFI

AMD Ryzen 9 7900X

NVIDIA GeForce RTX 4090

4 X 16GB Kingston Fury Beast 6000 ( KF560C36-16)

When i turn EXPO on pc and reboot, pc will randomly freeze and or stop on memory check during bios startup.

Any ideas how to fine tune this and get the moot out of the memory configuration ?.

Henry

First, ensure your on the latest BIOS. Your board has flashback.

Second, when you enable EXPO your memory is going to train for potentially a while, depending on the board. Watch the diagnostic LED screen and note the code. My Asrock only memory trains for 15 seconds or so on first bootup after a fresh BIOS but some are much longer.

If none of this helps, remove 2 of the DIMM's so you're running 2x16GB's in the correct slots.

If you did the research into Zen4 prior you'd know that bothering to try and run 4 sticks could be a recipe for disaster.

Ryzen 7 7800x3D -  Asus RTX4090 TUF OC- Asrock X670E Taichi - 32GB DDR5-6000CL30 - SuperFlower 1000W - Fractal Torrent - Assassin IV - 42" LG C2 - Windows 11 Pro

First thing you should do is make sure that all those DIMMs have the same RAM IC on them. Download Thaiphoon Burner and send a screenshot of the report for each of the DIMMs. If you've got a mix of Hynix A die and Hynix M die or a mix of Samsung B die and Hynix A die, that will likely cause issues when trying to get this stable at 6000.

Assuming they're all the same, you're probably gonna have to mess around with the memory controller voltages. On Ryzen 7000 there are two main memory controller voltages, SOC voltage and Memory Controller (sometimes called VDDIO Mem) voltage. Haven't personally done a ton of research into how those behave, though you should try to keep SOC voltage below 1.4V for the health of the CPU, and I'd try to keep VDDIO Mem below about 1.45V. Try bumping them up from the stock 1.2V and 1.35V respectively and try messing with either of them to see if that makes the config more or less stable.

Looks like Thaiphoon Burner is not safe to download, any other prog u can recommend>

Where are you getting it from? It's a program I've used many times without any issues. It might throw some antiviruses for a loop because of some of the other functionality that it has, mainly that it can rewrite memory SPDs, but the functionality you'll be using it for is not that.

You should get it from this website

Chrome blocks it, I know it's the official site.
