Does riser cable matter ?

There are some shoddy riser cables out there, but they more have issues with signal integrity, not power throughput. Besides, most modern GPUs don't really draw all that much power from the PCIe slot, so something like a 4090 will actually draw less power through the riser than something older like a 980 Ti or an RX 480. I would still aim for a well reviewed riser cable, as well as try to get one ready for PCIe Gen 4, but I wouldn't really be worried about the riser melting or anything like that.

Okay thanks 👍
