I'm wondering if it's PSU or just the GPU.

I'm running GTX 1660TI which I have had since 2019, I stream on Twitch as well as play/fly MSFS2020. It's on Low to medium and when not streaming MSFS performance better, even then still get stutters when going into airports. MSFS has locked to 30FPS also.

Anyway, last night, Flying the A310 into Istanbul, about 500 feet before landing, the SIm froze, and my windows 11 froze. And yet I was still streaming and also my webcam and mic were still workings I can see that on stream. Around 1min to 2mins later OBS started going wild with RED information as the system unfroze itself and then OBS disconnected itself and stopped. Then after the sim is unfrozen and landed as normal, but when taxing it’s stuttering  And that’s on low to medium - maybe 1660TI is overkilling it.

So it is the GPU or maybe the PSU is killing it....  PSU is Corsair RM850x that I had since 2018 also

That psu is more than enough for a 1660. Im guessing it was just a glitch. As for the stuttering that would just be the preformance. Might be the gpu or the cpu depending on what you have

GPU is running high, CPU is an i7 10700K

Some stutter while streaming is expected but its strange you get preformance drops out of streams too, it should be preatty stable woth that setup on med/low from what i see in benchmarks. Heres a few things that come to mind:

1. Are gpu drivers up to date

2. Cpu and gpu temps

3. Is someghing else using resources

4. How much disk space is free on the boot drive

Yes, all updated on the lastest, also did clean Win 11 fresh install about two months ago

Cpu and gpu temps

Temps are never that high with AIO, around max 40c for CPU I seen, mostly around 28c to 35c when running system high, when not gaming and idle around 24c or lower - GPU is around 45c to 55c

Not really, not like my CPU is running at 100%, it's not not even half. GPU runs high at 80% to 100%   - I Know that MSFS2020 is HIGH demanding

OS on a SSD and that's 500GB and only using 290GB space - MSFS is on 1tb SSD and other games are on my other drives - I have 6tb space all up.  I never put any games on my OS drive

My card is 6GB also...

Even playing other high demanding games like Hell let loose is the same, get bad lag

Gpu is 45-55c underoad or idle?

Otherwise that all aounds good. Ignoring the crash you got did it always stutter a bit during demanding scenes or is that recent?

That's running the card maxed out  - idle 26c

It tends to do it allot, not recent - when going into heavy location and whatnot that reqiures the card to run 100%

Thats just what the card can handle then. You can try overclocking it a bit, might make a small difference

MSFS does not like OC cards LOL - I'm looking at getting a new card anyway like the 3090 or 4080 - even that I have PCI-3

Shouldnt be a big difference. I dont think you can use the resizable bar woth gen 3 but the difference in preformance is neglible

Does having Power-option setting set to balance rather then high performance will help to resolve  kernel-power 41  ?

It might help if you se it to preformance and turn off sleep and hard drive sleep. But that could also indicate a hardware issue. Does it happen often?

Doesn't matter what I do, it does it.. Even on Performance mode with everyhing turn to sleep mode off

Might be a hardware fault then. Do you have any spare components you can swap out to see if/what component is causing the issue?

For the gpu at least you can use the igpu

I do have a GTX 680 but that's so old it won't support it that well 😜

end of the day it gotta be GPU right, I mean can't be anything else if all things have been worked and tested and all passed unless MB is at fuilt

How long have you had this specific parts? And looking at mostly the Mobo and RAM.

I love PC building and gaming.
REMEMBER botttlenecks can happen at all points of a PC part. Make sure you are at equilibrium. For all parts unless you intend to upgrade at a later point. Also QA Tested AAA Games.

HMMM... Do you have two screens my suggestion is pull up the task manager and do some CPU related loads. This is sort of sounding like a cpu memory failure 😭

Nope, just one single sceen, running at 60hz...

While running MSFS with the Payware A320 I see the CPU using 50% to 60% (streaming also ) on idel looks all normal... Not OC... Using AIO and I see normal loads...

What do I need to look for? Heavy loads on idel or just games like CSGO..? I mean only get it mostly when on heavy times like Flying in MSFS and stremaing and running other programs ad GPU is maxed out and CPU is all normal It can happen out of the blue or I can do a 12 hours flight and nothing happens

You are looking for unusually high overflow on  the RAM so like do a test stream a game and in the corner stick the task manager to always on top right with a game you don't mind having the upper right covered and see if you notice a unusual amount of RAM suddenly getting used. A malfunctioning RAM controller on the CPU can lead to a higher useage of ram as the cpu's commands aren't getting cleared out as efficiently leading to significantly higher usage. If you notice streaming into new areas while traversing is a IN game symptom of this occuring.
