Mac to windows sound issue

Go to solution Solved by Zando_,

Likely need the BootCamp drivers. Which you get from running through the bootcamp utility inside Mac OS X, doesn't look like there's an easy way to get hold of them without doing so.

If you're down to reinstall Mac OS X and don't have an install USB, you can hold down CMD + R while it boots up, and given it won't have the standard Mac recovery utilities, it'll boot straight into Internet Recovery. If it's like my mid-2012, this will install Mac OS X 10.8 (Mountain Lion), from there you can upgrade to... Catalina I believe, which is the latest version 2012s support. Need to grab the link to the installer from the support page, I don't think it's easy to find on the App store via search, as they usually only keep the latest one listed. Ok so weird topic I have an old MacBook pro from 2010-2012 and the hard drive crapped out. I replaced hard drive and put new ram in and installed windows 10. other than some weird key bindings and some minor things I cant get the sound to work on the laptop. I can plugin usb Bluetooth headsets and screen mirror to get sound but the speakers and headphone jack aren't working. any ideas?

Should I find a way to install mac back on, or is there a way to get the sound back with windows installed?

drivers are up to date but have a problem
