Hello everyone on LinusTechTips. I'm currently looking for a Graphics Card for my E7200 - (overclock to 3.8) Which will have the least possible bottleneck. Thanks beforehand!

Hello again, I've did an edit to the post for a Poll on the 3 graphic cards I'm, most likely to settle with, keep in mind I'm trying to get the least bottleneck possible!

You might get away with a GTX 460 or 560 but I'm really not sure what it would be like with one of those old dual core's, would you upgrade the CPU as well?

I wouldn't want to upgrade the CPU as I would need a new Mobo, and most likely ram aswell shines I'm running on a P5Q-PRO with DDR-2

Simply trying to get the maximum performance with the E7200 ^w^

Get a 7750 with that CPU but I recomend gettin an new CPU and mobo.

Antec 100, Msi 870 G45, Asus Xonar DGX, Creative Inspire T10 2.0, Creative Sound Blaster Tactic 3D, 4gb Corsair ram, Gigabyte HD 7850, AMD Phenom II x4 B55 @ 3.6Ghz, Cooler Master Hyper 212+, 500GB WD Caviar Black, Cooler Master RX 460, Samsung SyncMaster 226bw

I will get a new CPU + Mobo in time. Also read on TomsHardware.com that E7200 gets bottlenecked by a 7750. I'm not sure if the E7200 he were using is a stock one or overclocked to 3.8ghz <- Atleast in CPU intensive games

Na it's the the C2D CPU that will not be able to run some modern game engines like Skyrim that well and will create stuttering that's why a 7750 is a good match for the C2D CPU.

E7200 isn't rly a bad CPU.  granted the E8xxx series has 6mb L2 cache, but especially since he's OC'ed it should be capable of running modern games @ 1080p med-high settings GPU depeneding.  HD 7750 1GB GDDR5 has my vote btw.

Specs: Core I7-2600K @ 4.5GHz @ 1.35V, 4x4GB Corsair Vengeance Black 1600MHz CL9, Cooler Master Evo 212, MSI Z77 Mpower Motherboard, Sapphire Radeon HD 7950 Vapor-X @ 1000/1400, Cooler Master HAF 932 Blue Edition w/ 3 Cougar Hydraulic Bearing 120MM fans (2 up top 1 in the bottom) replaced side panel with a window, and rear fan with a Cougar Hydraulic Bearing 140MM, Cooler Master GX 650 80+ Bronze PSU, Samsung DVD-RW, Samsung 840 Pro 128GB SSD, Seagate 750GB SATA III 7200RPM

Well Skyrim will still run like crap as will many other games. Heck even my OCed Phenom II x4 CPU is a bottleneck in many of today's game engines.

I wonder if your chipset would be compatible with a Q6600, those are pretty cheap on eBay right now

EDIT: Just had a look and your Intel P45 chipset is compatible with a Core 2 Quad, if it was me I'd put in one of those quad cores as well because it would fare a lot better than the Core 2 Duo but there you go, just my 2 cents :)

Hello again, I've did an edit to the first post for a Poll on the 3 graphic cards I'm, most likely to settle with, keep in mind I'm trying to not get a big bottleneck!

Thank everyone for your feedback and suggestions!

- Bump -

Would love a few more votes before I settle ^w^

You need to fix the poll as we don't know what a 7550 is etc.

Thanks for your feedback.

Honestly the 650ti boost is a watse on that CPU. Even my Phenom II x4 B55 @ 3.6Ghz is a big bottleneck for the HD 7850.

I'm taking all of this with a grain of salt as I've searched and read across google that 650ti gets bottlenecked even by a E8 series,

What an E8 CPU comparable to ?
