HDR not working
19 minutes ago, BARBOUSS said:but it is advertised as it has hdr 400, anyways i figured out how to turn it on but it looks shitty on windows and gaming but when i go to see a video it turns iut to be great i even compared without it...is it some settings or is it for example a shitty cable because, i saw that only supports dp 1.4 or higher and im not sure if mine is at least 1.4
i m using the one that came with it
VESA DisplayHDR 400 never look good in HDR because it is way too low brightness to bring out HDR suppose look. VESA make a big mistake by certified HDR400 and make many buyer became victims.
if the video you see is those YouTube demo or very bright scenes, then it will look quite ok actually but actual HDR movies will look bad especailly on those dark scenes or night view.
HDR 600 is the minimum if you want to taste HDR, HDR 1000 is the requirement if you want fully enjoy HDR.
