So for some time i have this ASUS GeForce RTX 3060 Ti ROG Strix OC V2.

It runs great and cool but what bothers me is that in gpu tweak or HWI i get this report that is using 4-5% power under load in games or benchmarks

I am running 2 power cables 8 pin from the psu so its not pigtailed

Can anybody explain why is reporting this low consumption

As long as the card is performing as expected, I would put that down to an error in the software that is measuring these values. Power consumption is not a goal, it's a necessary evil to get the performance. Ideally you want the performance with as little power used as possible.

~edit: Instead of power, I would look at GPU usage. If that is well below 90%, then you're likely limited by CPU performance. What CPU do you have paired with the 3060 Ti?

Hi Eigenvektor thanks for the reply

I made another print screen with usage overlay top left corner

99% usage on gpu and 11% usage on cpu

Cpu is 10600k running at 4.5 GHz so is no bottleneck from cpu

I was just wondering if somehow because of this thing i could get lower fps in games
