Internet keeps... dropping out?

Ill explain this best I can, its not a full disconnect but its like ill be chilling on my PC when suddenly my internet like drops out, but its not a full disconnect. For example I don't disconnect from discord VCs but I am unable to hear or talk, and my webpages will stop loading. Also downloads if any are going on, will drop to 0.

Its super weird and I'm not sure whats going on, I don't think its my router because my sister is on the exact same network we are both hardwired into the same router, and she isn't having this issue.

Motherboard? A driver maybe? I don't know.

I'm hardwired with a cat 6 I think, right into my motherboard, I'm maybe 2 feet from my router.

I have not tried a new chord yet, I need to get one first to test it.

Jesus is the way, the truth, and the life.

Any ideas?

  1. Type of internet connection?
  2. Speeds you’re paying your ISP for?
  3. Exact make/model of router and/or ISP device?
  4. Any visual signs of compromised ethernet cable integrity? E.g. sharp bends, stripped insulation, exposed twisted pairs?
  5. What speed is your network adapter negotiating at within Windows?
  6. When these interruptions occur, is the network being used somewhere else? Is your sister streaming, uploading or downloading lots of content?

Switched out my cable, still freezing up. Latest freeze paused my webpages again and made it to where I couldnt talk or hear on discord.

Noticing a potential trend with being on discord but how tf would discord freeze my whole connection?

1. Ethernet

2. 1G

3. OOF I can't check at this moment, will in a bit

4. Nope, just changed to a brand new cable too

5. Uh how do I check this?

6. Can be yes, but sometimes no. This latest crash all we were doing was watching a stream on twitch, everybody else was asleep so it was just us 2.
