Why hasn't Linus reviewed this?

The R9-280 has been out for a while now, yet no review. Come on guys.... I know its basically a rebranded 7950, but it has the new GCN architecture, so there will be a difference in Mantle, that people would be nice to know about it. In fact, why haven't any of the big tech YouTubers done it?

I budget build well. Want to learn? PM me if you want advice.

Because it's not very interesting. Benchmarks a plenty to find if you need em though.

Case: Meatbag, humanoid - APU: Human Brain version 1.53 (stock clock) - Storage: 100TB SND (Squishy Neuron Drive) - PSU: a combined 500W of Mitochondrial cells - Optical Drives: 2 Oculi, with corrective lenses.

Because they're an HD 7950 and HD 7970 ghz.

It's a complete rebrand, no new architecture, just a BIOS update.

Yes, BUT it uses GCN 1.1 instead of GCN 1.0 in the 7xxx series, so there will be a Mantle improvement. 

I budget build well. Want to learn? PM me if you want advice.

I swear during either the 270 or the 270X review, they said something about GCN 1.1....

yes, the 290 series, and the 7790 and 7850 XT i think are 1.1
