Hi, I have been replacing HDDs with SSDs on several computers. The HDDs are usually 500GB and the SSDs are 250GB.

Most of the drives are only using about 100GB of space so I have been reducing the partiion size on the 500GB HDD so they will fit, and I then clone them using Rescuezilla.

This has been working fine but one hard drive is having touble. The partition reduced down fine and rebooted ok once reduced.

So I then started to clone the drive but there was an issue while cloning to the new drive (a random error). The process was aborted but now the source drive does not boot.

I removed the source HDD and used a USB caddy to check the Windows partition which seems fine, but I think the recovery partition or something related to boot is broken.

The question is, can I move this (seemingly ok) Windows partition to another drive so it is bootable?
Or is there a way I could create the other partitions so I can get the drive to boot?
