Is the Deepcool ak400 zero black enough for a ryzen 5 5500 that will be overclocked?

Yes it is.

Already have the Ryzen 5500? If not, the 5600 is a lot stronger CPU.

The 5500 lacks a good amount of L3 cache, doesn't have PCI-E 4.0 - it's a 5600G without the iGPU and it performs between a Ryzen 5 2600X and 3600X, similar to a 3600.

But the 3600 and 3600X have PCI-E 4.0.

Between a 3600 and 5600 you mean

And gen4 doesnt even matter anyways unless you are getting a crappy 6500 xt

If the 5500 is 30$ cheaper then 5500 is preffered, you can make it perform similarly to a 5600 by running rams as close to or at 5000mhz (1:1 infinity fabric) and doing a 4.6-4.8g overclock

Cooler wise just get a peerless assassin, problably similarly priced anyways, if not theres the assassin king and burst assassin for cheaper options

No, I mean exactly as I wrote, between the 2600X and 3600X. PCI-E 4.0 matters not just for GPU-s but for NVME SSD-s too.

And also the 6600XT and 6650XT GPU-s are PCI-E 4.0 8-lanes so they get a small performance penalty when running on a PCI-E 3.0 board.

Infinity fabric isn't running at 5000 MHz. And for Zen2/Zen3, the CPU-s perform the best when it's synced with the RAM (1:1) at 1800 (3600mhz) but 1600 (3200) is also fine.

The imc is a ton better on cezzane, infinity fabric should go around 2500 ish so 5000 ddr4

and non apu ryzens theyll do somewhere around 3800-4000 for 1:1

You got any like reviews comparing the 5500 to the 2600/3600? Afaik the 5500 beats the 3600 but falls behind the 5600 obviously

And directstorage isnt a thing yet, even if it was whats the diff between 5 seconds and 3 seconds? Its not gonna be massive like going from an hdd to a sata/nvme ssd, though maybe its more useful for massive games than just loading windows. Only reason to get a gen4 is if you do r/w heavy stuff like high res video editing or gen4 is so cheap you may aswell get it (well assuming its dram, cause a highend dram gen3 will still crush the gen4 over longer r/w)

I already purchased all my components, and was wondering because I am using stock cooler right now.
