need some suggestion

i got asrock 450m/ac mother board and it has 2X g.skill trident z 3200 8gb ram(16gn total) so if i put another ram but this time it's 2 16gb 3200. is there gonna cause any performance issue [fyi it's not for gaming it's for 3d modeling and VFX stuff)

What CPU do you have?

 

As long as the memory controller on the CPU can handle it, and the modules' timings aren't too different, and they use the same memory chips on the sticks, then this should be no problem. I run 48GB on my system.

 

Just make sure you put 8+16 in each channel, so the sticks should be set up like 8-16-8-16 for full dual-channel support. (Not 8-8-16-16, because that will break full dual-channel operation.)

The timings on those at least look to be the same. I'm not sure whether G.SKILL has ever changed chip providers for the memory chips on the stick, but there's a fair chance they'd be the same.

 

Are you intending to buy just one 16GB stick, or two?

 

If just one, then you may want to actually run it so that the two 8GB sticks are next to each other, but this can cause issues if the 16GB stick is single rank, as the two 8GB sticks will run in a dual-rank configuration within the other channel. Running asymmetrical RAM is not recommended.
