I just built a pc and tried running cinebench to stress test my hardware to make sure everything works properly and since I have an AIO cooler on my rig I did the 30 minute version. Well at about 14 minutes left of the test my cpu power suddenly went non existent and was saying 0 out of -1000? Also my PPT, TDC, and EDC all suddenly jumped to 100% and Ryzen master started to freeze and stop responding on me. I stopped the test and rebooted my system and everything is fine now but I feel like I did something wrong.

This is a brand new pc with a Ryzen 9 7900 x 12 core cpu and a Radeon 7900 XTX 24 gif gpu. I have Corsair vengeance DDR5 set to 5600 and a 1000 watt psu.

I do have my system set to PBO in BIOS and the temp was consistent at 80C during the first half of the stress test but when all that stuff happened (the cpu power going to 0 and 100% on PPT, TDC, and EDC) the temp dropped almost ten degrees.

I didn’t take pictures because I panicked and thought I just ruined my brand new pc so should I run it again with before and after pics? How can I fix this?

Sitting right at 80C which is what it was sitting at the entire time since I started the test. When a new look would start it would drop to 73C and then back up to 80C.

with PBO enabled I saw it limited the temp of my cpu to 80C so that’s what it was at. Should it not? I’m still new to all of this.

Yes it’s a brand new pc so when I turned it on and installed windows I downloaded armory crate and that included the chipsets and bios. I’ve checked multiple times for updates in armory crate but it says up to date on everything
