Hi, I been in the lookout for a new gpu since 2020, with the prices going up, I couldn't afford to.

But now I really need it and the price is affordable.

My use of the pc is mostly professional,  with the use of programs like archicad, photoshop, filmora, and for rendering I use Twinmotion.

My specs:

Motherboard: Asrock B365m Pro4 -f (I used to have a z390 -a prime from asus, but it got burned)

Cpu: i9 9900k

Ram: 64gb (2 16gb 2400 mhz and 2 16gb 3200 mhz)

Hdd and Sdd : 512gb ssd and 2 1tb hdd

Gpu: quadro k2200 4gb

Psu: 850w bronce 80plus

Cooling: prebuilt liquid cooling 2 fans, and 4 more fans

OS: windows 10

I've been lookig for the 4070 ti ( even when in the channel they told us not to because its the 4080 with other name) but is a good option for 1,000 usd here in mexico, the 3090 ti and the 3090 are more expensive, I could use the 24gb vram, because when I work it would help me a lot, the cuda cores are more for when I make the renders and videos, but I dont mind waiting for them, I can leave it all the night, but working in twinmotion with large projects have been my problem.

I also been thinking on upgrading the whole pc, for rhe 13 generation i9, but for that I need more time and more projects so I can afford it.

I'm a freelance architect and I have a passion for computers,

I came across the channels on 2020 searching for gpus an O have watched all your videos,  I dont miss one (just the wan show rhey are too long) I watch the videos on my tv before going to sleep, and they are amazing,

Thank you for your work,  really.

To all the community, please help me decide,

I dont know if the 4070 is compatible, and I cant find it anywhere, also if its the best option for 1000 usd

Thanks to all

you might have answered your own question. 4070ti is a little faster for compute however the 3090ti has more vram. you need to decide what will benefit you more. and are you willing to pay a little extra to get the right one. i dont know what prices are like for the 3090 in your region there but if its not much more and you need the vram then that would be the card to go for. 3090/ti is no slouch of a gpu and either card will be a massive upgrade to what you have now.

im a gamer so this is coming from a gamers perspective. i dont know much about rendering programs so its the best advice i can give you.

Thanks for the response,

Would you buy the 3090ti or 3090, even if its used?

Or would you for the 4070 ti new?

depends on the price in your region. the 3090ti is not much better than the 3090. they are very close in performance. if the 3090 is much cheaper than the TI i would not get the TI but if they are about the same price i would get the TI. but if you can get the 4070ti new for the same price as the 3090ti i would probably get the 4070ti. but again thats from a gamers perspective. if you really need the Vram then i would go for the 3090 range.

hope that helps 🙂
