Does anyone no how to take the lightning connector off of an iPhone

Hi I am currently trying to take a lightning connector off of my iPhone 7 I thought of soldering it off but i don't want to damage any of the surrounding parts on the board I watched a video where someone cut it off with a Rotary Tool and then soldered off all the leftover solder and glue.

This is the board I'm trying to get the port off of

If anyone has any good idea's or thoughts it would be most appreciated.

Thanks

It's best to just replace the entire dock connector assembly, the port itself is not designed to come off.

Ya but I want to mod the phone and swap the lightning port for a usb-c port.

You can't just remove the Lightning port drop a USB-C port in its place. Lightning isn't just a different way to send USB signals, it also handles UART and JTAG connections depending on configuration. You'll need to get a Lightning to USB-C cable, then take it apart and use its converter board. Make sure to get one of the first-generation USB-C cables or you can brick your device.
