Good by what standard? Good at what?

Corps aren't your friends. "Bottleneck calculators" are BS. Only suckers buy based on brand. It's your PC, do what makes you happy.  If your build meets your needs, you don't need anyone else to "rate" it for you. And talking about being part of a "master race" is cringe. Watch this space for further truths people need to hear.

For less than $60, sure. [oops, that is assuming that this is the Zen+ 1600AF, the regular 1600 will fall short in many games unfortunately.]

I would suggest looking into a used Ryzen 5 3600 for a sizeable jump for not much more or a new 5600 for a generational leap around ~$130.

If "gaming" means Rocket League and Valorant and stuff like that, it's fine.

If "gaming" means AAA new releases then it's pretty close to washed.

so like my i5 4690k now

not for AAA games

Single thread IPC is probably about the same.

1600 has more cores and threads (6/12 versus 4/4), but the selection of games that will benefit from that without ultimately being held back too much by the chip's general lack of speed for it to matter is pretty small.
