So this is my first build I'm in the bios as we speak and it seems to keep rising very slowly

I'm not sure if this is normal or not

I've tried repeating the cooler and adding more thermal paste but it doesn't seem to stop it

Am I doing something wrong?

to put into words; My CPU doesn't even hit 50c in BIOS and yours is close to TJ Max.  I would check to see if the cooler is mounted properly

Okay though keep in mind it's not in a case

I'm doing what Linus suggested in his pc building video and building it outside the case

But you say yours is 50°C in your bios

Mine is only about 31-32°C

The original temperatures I had given were in F° not Celsius
