Windows 10 acquisition/installation help

So I'm in the process of building my first pc and I would like it to run Windows 10 pro since that's what I'm used to. Now Microsoft has announced they won't be selling the license anymore and I heard there was a way I can keep using the license from my laptop? I would appreciate someone explaining all this to me. Thx

If it's an OEM license it might be a bit tricky.

You can try removing the key from windows using this guide: https://www.tenforums.com/tutorials/35979-uninstall-product-key-deactivate-windows-10-a.html

Find it using this: https://www.techrepublic.com/article/3-simple-ways-to-find-your-windows-10-product-key/

If it shows 'Activated using a license tied to your Microsoft account', you might be able to just sign into the new computer while signing out of the old one. Although I am not 100% sure laptop licenses transfer over to desktops without problems, though I don't see why not.

Microsoft may stop selling them at the Microsoft store or authorised retailers such as bestbuy, newegg, microcenter etc.

However I doubt cheap license key sellers from grey market sites, like kinguin, godeal24, cjs-cdkeys, ebay etc will still be selling them. There will be plenty of supply of window 10 keys from grey market
