I’d get more storage, preferably m.2, if I were going to do anything to that system.

Why do you think you need to upgrade your cpu? Are you having any issues in performance or do you just want to upgrade it so you have a “better” machine?

all of the above

i have a high refresh rate monitor and it struggles in more cpu demaning games such as spiderman minecraft when alot of stuff is there and gta, fortnite

and my gpu usage never goes above 60% ever except gta at 75%

when i enable dlss it  never makes a differance in games that have it same fps native or dlss

and then you have my cpu always at 89-97% all the time on detroit become human its almost always at 100% and causes lag spike issues

Well then sure it might make sense to get a better cpu. Keep in mind you will be limited to 10th and 11th gen cpus. I have an i7 10700k and I’ve never ran into any issues with my 3070.

You will have to get a new cpu cooler if you upgrade cpu too much assuming you are using the stock cooler now. At the price point you would pay to get the 11900kf or 10900k you almost should just go ahead and get a new mobo and go with an i5 13600k.

Both should work case and aio should work perfectly fine with 13600k and it’s better than both 10900k and 11900k.

Retrofit kit is only 8 dollars. Any idea what you’re going to do?

The 12400f costs half that and will game pretty much the same.    I'm still shocked that you're hitting such high CPU util and not maxing out your 3060.  What kind of ttemps are you getting?  Did you install your CPU cooler correctly?  The 10400 should not be having these kind of issues, it's not exactly a slow CPU.

I edit the shit out of my posts.  Refresh before you respond.
