Thoughts on this pc list?

Budget (including currency): 1100

Country: UK

Games, programs or workloads that it will be used for: Games like Elden Ring, GTA V, Witcher 3, COD games etc

Other details (existing parts lists, whether any peripherals are needed, what you're upgrading from, when you're going to buy, what resolution and refresh rate you want to play at, etc):

My friends helped me make this list:

May I ask why you are going am5? is it the upgrade path? If so then consider that you've got pretty slow memory there and when you upgrade it you'll be limited at those slower speeds.

Also theres little reason not to go for the 7600 nonx. I just got one and its not even limiting my 3070, nevermind a 6650xt.

I would save a little there and some on the cooler because its a very cool running chip and pour that into the graphics card if its games you're wanting.

Also consider that if you want lots installed at the one time, consider another drive as modern titles are like100gb each in some cases ie gtav and cod

hope this helps!

From what I have read, 8 GB sticks of DDR5 are pretty bad, as well as the speed of the RAM.  6000MHz is the spot for AM5.  Look up 8GB DDR5 issues.

With your budget, I would say go Intel or last gen AM4.

Thanks for your answer! Yes my reason for going am5 is due to the upgrade path but I had no idea my memory would be that bad…

Also, here the 7600 is only around £10-15 cheaper than the 7600x so I thought why not go for the x version. Thanks for your response thought, I’ll have a think

Can you recommend me some intel? It would be great if the budget could actually be lowered to 1000 so that would mean I’d have to earn less, but I can see why Intel would be expensive. I have had lots of am4 recommendations so no need for those haha

Looks good, if you could spring for an 80+ gold it would save power and increase stability esp over time.

The ram is a little slow/budget, if you can find ram on the AMD approved ram list that would be best.

Check out dealsource.tech they have a UK version w good deals

The reason i say nonx is the 7600x doesnt come with a box cooler and at your budget spending an extra 90 quid on not much

I thought the 7600 non x cooler isn’t sufficient for gaming? I’ve been told it’s inadequate for cpu intensive tasks.

Ballpark build, just to show pricing as I took lower priced items that have other options in the same price range...
