Hello! recently build a new gaming rig and am running into a strange problem. About everytime I boot the PC theres about a 70% chance it will run laggy. In games, but also on the desktop. You can see the mouse stutter and such. In games (like valheim) I get 40-50fps on a 'good' boot (and no windows lagg) and like 15 on a 'bad' boot (windows laggs and stutters). The temps are warm, but not absurd. About 70-ish on cpu and 60 gpu, this is an itx build however. I have tried everything I can think of, bios updates, multiple clean installs, chipset updates, gpu driver updates, different cable to the monitor. In a few of these instances it seemed to have worked... Untill I reboot the pc.

To add; im not sure but 40-50 fps on valheim seems low to me with the following specs, but maybe I'm expecting too much?

These are the specs:

Asus rog strix x570-i mobo

Asus rog strix 6600xt gpu

AMD ryzen 7 5800x cpu

2x Crucial m.2 p3 ssd 2tb

NZXT kraken Z53 cooler

Gskill DDR4 ram 2x8 @ 2400mhz (for now, should become 32gb 3200mhz)

The original ram I bought for this build had a dead stick so for now I'm using my old ram.

Any help or suggestions are appreciated. Im pretty much at my wit's end because I've been trying to solve this for days now and everytime it seems to be fixed, and then it isn't.

What about system loads on a "bad" boot? How is CPU/GPU/RAM looking when you have a bad load.

Main system: Ryzen 7 7800X3D / Asus TUF Gaming B650-Plus / G.Skill Trident Z5 NEO 32GB 6000Mhz / Zotac RTX 5090 SOLID OC/ x2 WD_BLACK NS770 2TBs/ Corsair HX1000i/ NZXT H5 Flow

Just fine, no high cpu usage, no high gpu usage. I've ran userbenchmark multiple times on good and bad boots. It either give 'ufo' status or like raft status.

It mentions the gpu underperforming and high background cpu usage. But as I mentioned, not consistently. I looked at the background CPU usage when it says it detects it, but can't find anything.

Does it detect both RAM sticks every time you boot?
