OK so, we have had this build now for about 6 months and it's been fine up till the last month or so.

When powering up the cpu motherboard light is flashing red and won't post. So the first time it happened I took the side off checked all connectors reseated ram chips and gpu, powered it back up and seemed fine (could just be a coincidence) apart from posted slower then usual. Then again today (about a month later) it's done it again!

Now before I start the whole process again of checking, is there any reason why it would keep doing this?

Build is as follows:

ASUS ROG STRIX Z690-F WIFI

INTEL CORE i9 12900KS

2x16GB Corsair Dom DDR5 5600 C36

EVGA SuperNOVA 1000 P6 Platinum

Corsair iCUE H150i PRO XT RGB Liquid CPU Cooler

ASUS 3080 ROG Strix OCV2 ampere White

Any help is greatly appreciated!

I did think to reseat the cpu next but was hoping to to only have to do that as a last resort. As for bios I think it still has the same it was shipped with.

*Update*

So I just got back from work and thought I would try to troubleshoot the PC. I decided I'd go with my initial first thoughts and try the GPU first (seems the most easy route), so I pushed on the GPU to which I could here a few creaks and squeaks like i was going to push the GPU out the side of the case, pushed on the power connectors and started it back up again... low and behold it posted!

It seems in this build the weight of the GPU and the regular movements of moving the tower out the way to use the table for other things causes the GPU to shift slightly, just enough to stop it from posting. Looks like we'll now be looking at a better location for the tower so we don't have to move it around as much, as well as find a GPU support to fit in the Corsair Carbide case its all housed in.
