Microphone not working on PC

You need a splitter that separates the microphone from the headphones, a Y splitter that you plug the 4-pole in the female plug and it has 2 male 3-pole connectors (one for the microphone the other for the headphones/speakers).

Or you need an AMP/DAC/soundcard that supports 4-pole headsets out of the box, fore example a cheap(ish) USB-C to 3.5mm DAC.

I have a wired gaming headset with a pull down mic. The mic doesn't work on my PC and when it does the volume is super low. I have tried the headset on my laptop and it works just fine. I don't know why my PC doesn't recognize the mic volume or that the mic is transmitting.

Have you tried turning it off and on again? Maybe Restart it?

I have already tried updating my Motherboards audio drivers.

Have you tried turning it off and on again? Maybe Restart it?
