There's certainly nothing wrong with the iPad, especially if you already have an iPhone or something.

I've used an Ipad 6th gen with the apple pencil and also an Ipad Pro with the smart keyboard + Apple pencil gen 2. The baseline Ipad (9th gen) is a very capable device, the only gripe I have with it is that the screen isn't laminated so visually it isn't great to look at, but still is functionally great.

I generally don't prefer using 3rd party keyboards due to the latency some of them can have when typing, as well as they use bluetooth instead of the physical smart contacts on the ipad. Pretty much all of them are battery-powered (makes it another battery to charge) and usually charge by USB micro-b, which is a pain (most of the things I have are USB-C at this point). Annoying when everything uses USB-C and you have that one thing that charges with micro-b, but that's a personal gripe of mine.

My advice: If you can afford it, the official smart keyboard is a slimmer solution and isn't another battery to charge, and is flips around so that you can still use the ipad as a tablet instead of a pseudo-laptop. The first-gen apple pencil is also great, and can charge right off the ipad when you need power in a pinch.

My aunt has the above logitech keyboard, and it works decently well with decent key travel, but it makes the ipad much chunkier and makes using the ipad as a tablet less enjoyable. Can't speak to the stylus you had mentioned as I have never used it but most styluses use a small non-rechargeable battery (like a AAAA battery) which could be a pain when your battery is spent and you need to use the stylus, requiring a battery replacement. I hope this helps you in your decision.
