Ay people, recently picked up a used desktop pc  so i could actually have something to use instead of a laptop, experience has been nice so far but tonight i did something a little bit stupid and set the memory speed in bios to 1600 (its ddr3) i forgot that only two sticks of my 12gbs were rated for that speed so it cause my system not to boot, i reset it back to 1333 so the ram other 2 sticks would work, but  now my Intel DP67BA will not boot if the 2nd ram channel is populated, i can't tell if something weird is goin on or if i somehow fried the 2nd ram slot while undoing what i had done previously

If it wont boot with a stick in the 2nd slot then there is likely 1 of 2 things, bent pin in the socket or bad channel on the CPU memory controller assuming you tried all the sticks in the slot or other slots.

Yep i have tried all the other slots, the ram works perfectly everywhere but the 2nd slot, i dont think the cpu would have bent pins unless they can bend somehow on their own in a super short period of time, the 2nd slot was working before i went and screwed with the memory speed, this is all super confusing to me, any ideas for a fix that might work?

Reseating requires me to take off the cpu cooler right? I dont have any thermal paste on hand so i would be unable to use it for the night

Also as i have just found out upon booting it, it is ONLY recognizing the first stick of ram and none of the other sticks

Get yourself some extra thermal paste and reseat the CPU. When you do, double check to ensure no accidental bent pins or debris in the socket.
