Deleting windows install without formating ?

I wonder if there is a way to remove windows install from a drive without formating it. Had some hardware isues and in process of troubleshooting I installed fresh windows on another disk cause original one got corrupted. Have a loot of data on that one and would like to avoid finding space and moving all of that in order to format it.

You can basically just delete the {second drive's letter}:\Windows\ folder to reclaim most of the space Windows takes up. It might require some fiddling with file ownership, but that's where most of the old Windows install is.

¯\_(ツ)_/¯
