about ddr .

[Rca46 and cool projector.]

basic info. i build my pc 7  years ago. and it work great. i just get the oculus meta-2. so i upgrade to the spec ( gtx 750 ti  dont do Vr)  so i got it work .. now. the infos. plz give me a hand. with  ddr and cpu temp.    im running a asus b150m-c , with a 1660S oc 6 gb Gpu, and 1xddr4 16gb 2133 mhz  and 2x 8gb  2666mhz    . My mb  hold 6 or 7 i-core gen . a got the 6 gen  i7-6700.  and my cpu temp  idle is about 45 if i play a low level movie, cpu reatch 85  degres, if i play any games .. including VR games.. my cpu reach 110 degrés .i  can cook an egg on it but it still it work.  i got a temp probleme here. how my cpu trottle between 85 an 100 degres without burning the house.?

 and . for the ddr.. 1x16gb 2133 and 2x8gb 2666 on 4 slots .  should i get rid of th single 16 gb  2133 and  just use the dual chanel on the 2 8gb 2666 mhz

What cooler are you using?

Yes. If you need 32gb memory: sell what you have and get a 2x16 kit.

CPU temps have always* had high thresholds. Current gen AMD Ryzen 7000 targets 95C as standard operating temp while boosting.

 

*Very Old chips generally had very low operating temps, bulldozer/excavator had I think somewhere around 75C as max operating temp which was unfortunate.
