$500 CAD RX 6700, about 60-65% faster in 1080p.

$550-$600 RX 6700 XT, about 80%-86% faster in 1080p.

I think with 3600x, there will be a bit of bottleneck, hard bottleneck on very CPU heavy games, but I'd give it a try first.

Hi I'm looking to buy a new GPU as mine is really starting to show its age, I currently have a 6 year old 1080 gigabyte ( i believe the basic edition ). But I don't know much about components and I was wondering if someone could help me choose what I should buy? Also if it helps my cpu is a AMD Ryzen 5 3600X 6-core 3.8ghz

Budget (including currency): 500$ CAD + taxes ( can go 600$ if pretty big upgrade )

Country: canada

Games, programs or workloads that it will be used for: Bit of everything

It's 6 years old not 8, just FYI. Question is, what games do you play, want to play and at what resolution. The 1080 is still a pretty decent card. Chances are you might be able to sell it on the used market to up your budget.
