Did as described with the CMOS battery.

as i said it will not even boot into bios. it doesn’t post.

It’s stuck on the VGA light on the motherboard, there is no video output at all.

Try taking the GPU out and plugging it back in. Do you have an older card you can try with to get into bios?

So i just did as in this video, and enabled “above 4G encoding” and “resize bar” to get SAM support for my AMD GPU and CPU. now my pc won’t post. it gets stuck on the “VGA” light on the motherboard and it refuses to boot or go into bios.

anyone know how i can fix this or atleast revert back to the original settings? i tried taking out the CMOS battery but to no avail.

CPU: Ryzen 7 5800x
GPU: XFX RX 6600XT
MOBO: B550-F
RAM: Corsair vengeance pro RGB 3600mhz

When taking the CMOS battery out, you first want to unplug the PSU from the wall. Then remove the CMOS battery. Next step is to hit the power button on the case a couple of times. Then put the battery back in and plug the PSU into the wall and give it a go.

Now to your issue:

Make sure you are on the latest BIOS.

If your OS installation is running with legacy or CSM mode enabled, it won't boot. You need full UEFI mode on, so no CSM stuff. This might require a full reinstall of windows as you cannot just switch between modes and boot back up.
