M.2 Disconnecting randomly

Hey guys, I have been having issues with M.2 slot 2 disconnecting when woken up from sleep. I have all my games on this M.2 so I notice it right away when I try to launch a game it says "install?" when I know its installed. I restart the PC and boom the M.2 is back and no data is lost. Drivers are updated, I haven't reseated the M.2 but I don't think that's the issue. Its been working just fine for months and now all of the sudden this issue is showing up. Any ideas?

My parts:

Asus b550-f

WD black 2tb in m.2 slot 1

WD black 1tb in m.2 slot 2

6tb HDD

Ryzen 7 3700x

EVGA 3080 FTW3

1000w corsair PSU

32 gigs of ram 3600mhz

I've not had this exact issue, but I am just recently being made aware that sleep mode can cause some very weird issues, particularly with RAM and storage.

I've found that Ryzen and supporting boards are funny about RAM (consulting QVL counters this), and I had some weird issues (freezing in sleep, no-video POST every 8-12 cold boots) with my 5900X / B550 build that were solved by RAM from the QVL list.

However, one thing that didn't go away, was occasional rainbow cycling of GPU / mobo ARGB on sleep / shutdown, even with it set to dark in Amoury Crate. Started doing a full shutdown instead and it hasn't done it since. Seems Ryzens may not like sleep mode either.

Also, found this in the manual for the Asus ROG STRIX B550-F Gaming... This could be a PCIe lane-swapping conflict exacerbated by sleep mode.

I know linus did a video on windows sleep mode and I wonder if the logic there is what may be causing the issue. I will look into it more!
