Hey, i have recently switched from Nvidia to AMD card because my old one died, now i have a Radeon HD 6950. The problem i have is when i start up my PC there is no signal so the screen stays black until it boots to windows. There wouldnt be much problem with it but because of this i cant even get into the BIOS. I also reinstalled windows a day ago but i had the same problem before and i thought this might fix it. It didnt. When i tried to boot into the windows installer too it was same problem, black screen. I finally managed to figure out what was the problem it was the graphics card. I removed it from the my PC and tried to boot it like that. And i could finally open the BIOS. I tried changing a few things. It didnt work. So im wondering if anyone had or have an issue like this too or is it just my card? Or maybe its the drivers? I really hate AMD, i had an other card which was an HD 6670, and it also had glitches similar to this. I also tried an other AMD card which i have no idea what it was because there was nothing writen on the card but it didnt even show any signal. I have so many problems with AMD cards but when i had Nvidia there was no problem with anything. It worked fine.

I've run into this issue with pretty much every older graphics card, either amd or nvidia, that doesn't support UEFI while using display port cable.

To fix this try enabling CSM in the bios, that's always worked for me in the past.

Hey thanks for reply, I took out the card to change that in bios, but it was already on? I tried putting it to auto, it didnt fix it either.
