When I originally build this pc it posted with no issues and ran for about a month with no problems. In the last few weeks it has been seemingly randomly black screening, and then sometimes not posting again seemingly stuck in a boot loop. I have two displays, one connected to the gpu and one to the igpu. when the system black screens the monitor connected to the gpu turns off first. then the one via the cpu, this screen (usually running YouTube) will keep playing video for a few seconds then freeze, the audio will continue for a short time after the screen freezes and then become more and more garbled before stopping and black screening. and the system will automatically try to restart, but fail to do so. The strange part to me is that this issue seems to happen in no particular pattern. Sometimes it occurs while gaming other times while I'm watching YouTube. Also occurs in no particular time interval I have managed weeks in between issues or multiple times a day. initially rebooting the system would have me back up and running, but recently more and more the system will not post for multiple power cycles after a crash.

I did travel home for holidays, which after this trip the issue began happening more frequently, I have reseated my storage drives but this does not seem to have done anything either. I Have also done a check more than once of my power connectors nothing seems too be loose. I have tried reseating the Gpu and stress testing via furmark (ran 10 mins peak of 77 degrees C) caused no crashes. But as soon as I closed furmark I saw purple artifacting on my desktop and then the system exhibited the behavior as described above. I also had XMP enabled but have since disabled and continue to have the issues. I also am connected to a 1500VA Ups and have had the issue with and without it. RAM has also been reseated.

EDIT: I just had a crash checked event viewer and saw these messages (see below) im not sure what any of this means but hopefully it means something to someone.

EDIT 2: After some further troubleshooting the system will not longer post at all.

Have you disconnected the monitor from the iGPU and just tried running off the dedicated graphics and see if it still persists? I personally can't see a need to have a monitor plugged into the motherboard graphical inputs when you have a GPU capable of handling 2 monitors.

*EDIT* I have also experience graphics glitches leading to a GPU driver crash/reset when I had my Razer Blade 15 docked into 2 displays. Disabling Intel Graphics in Device Manager when docked solved my issues. I know it's not the same setup but might be worth a shot.

Not a bad idea, only reason i haven't is because i only have HDMI monitors right now so i wont be able to use both, but in the spirit of trouble shooting I will give it a shot!

If it ends sup solving the issues, then you could acquire a DisplayPort to HDMI adapter for a fair price for use on the non-primary monitor. 🙂 Hope that helps.

Just had another crash seems like this was not the problem, I appreciate it though
