Ender 3 Pro

SignatureSigner

I have an Ender 3 Pro and have been loving it over the last few months but have a question regarding filaments.

My current stuff is PLA but I am wondering if I can do PETG and/or Nylon.

I have all stock parts but was wondering if I can print PETG stock or If I need to get a Bowden tube/upgraded hotend.

Does anyone know what the max temp a stock ender 3 pro can do? I find mixed answers online, and I know the PTFE tube is my current thermal limit.

Thanks!

You should be able to print PETG no problem with stock parts on an Ender 3 pro, though you may have issues with bed adhesion. I suggest printing on a raft, but some suggest painters' tape or a glue stick (which I think are terrible solutions personally). Set your bed temperature to 60, initial layer height to 0.02 and nozzle temperature to about 230 (though you should just use whatever the filament you buy says to use).

Yes, you can print PETG just fine with the stock parts. I've never tried nylon, so I can't say anything about that unfortunately. As for the Ender 3 Pro's maximum temperature, I've gone up to 265C to print ABS and it performed reliably.
