Issues with display

Recently the display option from the nvidia control panel has disapeared and the laptop is having issues turning on, it turns on, the fan is spinning, lights are shinning extc. But the screen doesnt show anything, just a dim black screen. Ive managed to make the laptop run normally by pressing the power button a couple of times and unplugging my gear. But the issue happens every single time i try to turn on the laptop. Please help.
