Do people actually buy "old gaming computers" these days?

Is this reasonable?
I think the price is too high. You could build a better PC - brand new with warranties - for around $500 CAD. https://ca.pcpartpicker.com/list/qZYTgb
$800 to build that system seems pretty high, though if you built 2 years ago you may have been right in that covid period where PC prices were inflated with everybody buying computers to work from home.
I would expect more around the $400 mark for that PC. Depending on your local area and what else is available maybe you can get a little more, maybe a little less.
As for whether or not people still buy second hand computers these days, then yes. If the price is right there are people who would buy it though. For that system probably kids/teenagers looking for a cheap PC so they can play minecraft, fortnite, rocket league, and whatever else kids are playing these days.
