CPU Cooler Bracket
20 minutes ago, RXF said:I was building my new PC and on my first boots the PC was overheating so quickly and was getting error that CPU fan wasn't installed correctly then shutting off. After I took it off and re-installed it 500 times I noticed that the Artic liquid freezer II 280 probably wasn't making contact with the CPU (Intel Core i7-13700 KF) since the thermal paste didn't seem like it was touched.
After hours of banging my head against the wall I finally saw someone mentioning on google in some old comment that the bracket that came with the cooler might be the reason. I was wondering if anyone knows if this is legit? Should I buy new bracket?
This is the bracket that I got with the cooler (pic 1)
Should I buy this one? Please help I'm losing my cool - pun intended - But really I need help, been trying to get this PC running before new years but looks like that's not going to happen
The one you have is for LGA1200/LGA115x
Arctic LGA1700 Kit : https://www.arctic.de/en/LGA1700-Mounting-Kit-Liquid-Freezer-II-Series/MPSAS00891A
Try contacting Arctic about it, they might supply you with one.

Also, taken from Arctic Manual Webpage :
