Laptop Cooling

I have been a Laptop gamer for a number of years. Obviously, it doesn't have to be said, that a gaming rig is always the better way to go. You're not telling me anything I haven't told myself. 

I currently attend Full Sail, working on a degree in Game Design. as such, they provide every degree with a laptop that goes with their degree, paid for with tuition money. Full Sail hooked me up with a 2022 MSI GE76 Raider 12UH. It's an amazing top of the line gaming laptop. Nvidia RTX3080 with 8gb VRAM, 12th gen i7-12700 at 2700 MHz, and 2 onboard SSD's. It's wonderful and handles every game I could ever think about playing, on ultra, without issue...

The issue comes when It starts to get hot. Being a laptop, its heat output is massive, especially with a 3080 in it. It is nice that most of its cooling ports are not on the bottom, like most gaming laptops, so you don't cook your legs. However, its ports are on the sides and on the back side. It is a great way to vent the heat. It is not a great way to keep it cool. Standard and even some above standard cooling options don't seem to put a dent in the amount of heat that this thing can pump out, and I am constantly running into issues where my whole system locks up due to overheating, or I blue screen mid game, with a watch_dog code. Most cooling Pads seem hell bent on pumping air up at the bottom of the Laptop to keep it cool, which is fair, since most laptop's cooling fans are on the bottom. I have yet to find any cooling pads that assist both the bottom and the sides at the same time; or even just the sides to keep the cooling vents cool.

I need help finding a good cooling pad, or options for keeping it cool, besides hooking up a window AC unit for it alone. I had hoped that maybe Linus had done some videos about gaming laptops and handling the cooling, but I didn't find any.
