You can try again with slightly lower speed. If full XMP speed causes issues like this, then it's essentially an unstable overclock, possibly caused by the CPU's integrated memory controller.
Note that XMP doesn't just increase speed, it'll also adjust (sub-)timings and voltages. If you want to overclock your RAM manually you'll need to do the same, i.e. increase voltage alongside the clock speed and possibly increase timings.
