I'm planning to build a dedicated server PC and I have an extra Ryzen 3600 lying around. If I were to use that as the cpu, would I need a GPU to run it as a server or could I just remote in?
If I could use it, how would I go about it?

Depends on the motherdoard, some do not boot without a gpu.

The server is NAS or GAME server or Media server. 3600Doesnot have a igpu so most motherboard wont post

U can put in a temp discrete gpu. And remove it later. Just to get system going .

Having an inexpensive GPU installed makes things easier if one has to diagnose boot issues. You shouldn't have to spend more than 50 and can probably find a used card for less than 25.
