Having a hard time deciding

i will be getting a new SSD soon, i don't know if i should install ubuntu on it or windows 7, i have used ubuntu for a while now, and the only thing holding me back from switching is the lack of netflix support, and only some games i play aren't supported but i think you can play games through wine, if you can give me some links on how to do that, it will be greatly appreciated, so if you know how to get more games working on linux, and netflix working properly on ubuntu let me know because i have install the netflix desktop app and it didn't work, so which one should i go with, and why 

(plz don't recommend windows 8/8.1 or another distro of linux)

Windows is the mainstream of games, if you are a hipster, consider mac or linux. Use Windows my friend

Why not Win 8.1?

Windows 8 series is really bad. its evolving to touch mode rather than mouse mode

Why not Win 8.1?

because i have two perfectly fine windows 7 keys, so i don't see the point on spending 100 bucks on windows again

There is nothing wrong with Windows 8 or 8.1. You're just used to the old start menu.

it just doesn't feel as Hardcore Gaming optimized as Win7, it just doesn't

I have used Win 8.1.... it works perfectly fine with mouse and KB...... I played BF4 and it was fine too. :/

Windows 8.1 has a start button.

It needs more confirmation on stuff like the games section. I just dont feel like 8-ly

a margin 2~5% better performance in most Games but 10% lower in Dirt3, i play BF4 at 45 FPS on Win7 and it's Fine, it's that there are some stuff Linus said you have to do so your Games run perfectly on Win8, but i wold still stick to Win7, it's just Me ;)

Games section? I don't know what you mean by that but I use Steam for all of my games other than Minecraft. :/

Win8 and Win8.1 are completely different, in 8.1 they fixed all the broken stuff.

It feels like its designed for touch screen laptops, tablets, and smartphones. NOT PC

 

Edit: But thats what the world is turning right? everything is touch screen, holograms and sh*t
