Hello, so I am currently trying to figure out how to get my 3090 Ti Founders card installed. One thing I noticed is the adapter comes with 3 plugs on one end for the cables and the one on the end for the GPU. However the cables that came with my PSU only have two cables on the end and one plug for the PSU itself. Since the adapter demands three, what do I do here? Surely one isn't left unplugged, but also surely I don't need to use a completely separate one, do I? Any help would be appreciated!

EDIT: PSU is Corsair RM1000x, forgot to mention

Your PSU should come with :
3x 6+2 PCIe Cables (if your RM1000x is the one with all black background on it's label)

https://www.corsair.com/corsairmedia/sys_master/productcontent/WW_RMx_Series_2021_QSG_AA.pdf

or
4x 6+2 PCIe Cables (if your RM1000x is the one with some white background on it's label)

https://www.corsair.com/corsairmedia/sys_master/productcontent/RMx_Manual.pdf

If you lost access to these cables for some reason, then you need to buy a compatible cable for your PSU. Either from Corsair themselves, or order a custom sleeved one from Cablemod, just make sure you select the right PSU brand & model if you are ordering one from cablemod. Refer to the link below for which corsair cable fits your PSU.

For high power card, using 3 separate cables is more preferable than daisychain.

They are all daisy chained cables. I saw a diagram that I can use one fully and another with one remaining unplugged. I have 3 daisy chained cables it looks like. So do I use all 3 and leave 3 unplugged or only two leaving one unplugged? I don't have any "singular" PCIe cables. If I'm supposed to, then Corsair forgot them, which I find very hard to believe. So is that what I do?

yes, the PCIe cables comes with daisy chain on one of their end.

Preferably use only 1 connector from each cable for each adapter's connector.
So yes, use all 3 PCIe cables, leave the daisychain part on each PCIe cables unplugged.

You can use ziptie to tie the unused daisychain connector to their main cable, if you want to make it more tidy.
Just don't tighten the ziptie too much.

This doesn't apply to Corsair PSUs. As a matter of fact u don't have enough cables in the box for most latest Corsair PSUs to avoid daisy-chain (and it's a feature, intentionally packed that way from the factory).

If your cable is thicker (16AWG), and has higher quality terminals (HCS), u can daisy chain all u want with any card u want.

Thin cables with lower quality terminals (metal pins on the end) = can't daisy chain with higher TDP cards without PC shutting down.

@DkDark Feel free to daisy-chain with your PSU without worry, jonnyGURU, chief R&D for Corsair mentions this all the time.

So you're saying it is safe to use one daisy chained cable and then another while leaving the daisy chain bit unplugged without much of a difference? Or is it still recommend all 3 are used?

Yes, with Corsair PSUs, it's safe, 3 plugs = 2 cables. with one of the daisy-chains dangling from the 2nd cable.
