Budget (including currency): 1500 $(US)

Country: India

Games, programs or workloads that it will be used for: Gaming and work use.

Other details:

I currently have a 5 year old Gaming Laptop (Helios 300) and have decided it is time for an upgrade. I have decided to build a custom PC at home for gaming and get a decent laptop for work (I'm not sure if it is possible with my current budget. If it isn't please suggest a good Gaming Laptop within that range).

I have a decent monitor, keyboard and mouse, so those are not included in my Budget. The Laptop is mainly for work and does not need to be high end as I mostly use it only for coding and such (no high load at any time). The PC will be used for gaming with games like Minecraft, Genshin, Call Of Duty, Valorant.

Edit: Forgot to mention this, but I am completely new at building custom PC, so any advice is appreciated.

Define good, 1080p 60hz? 1080p 144hz? 1440p 60hz? 1440p 144hz? and what type of games.

And what are the requirements for the work laptop? If it is just spreadsheets and emails, any $300-$500 laptop would be fine.

So budget will include the work laptop?

check on the used market on how much your current laptop sells for, if you arent gonna get atleast 400$ for it then yea dont seem worth selling and you can just use as a work laptop. Though whats the laptop specs?

Yes, the work laptop is included in the budget. The laptop is kind of heavy, so if possible, I would prefer to get a lighter laptop for work. As for my current laptop it has an i7-7700HQ and GTX 1060.

1080p 144hz. I did mention the games I usually play. I also mentioned what I use the laptop for (mainly programming, emails, etc. It won't have high load at any circumstance).

Edit: My Current Laptop Sells For Around 200$.
