Small black 'pits' on the aluminium part of my laptop?

Hello everyone, I have a question for you.

I recently discovered that there are small pits forming in the aluminium part of my laptop where I rest my palms when typing.
At first I thought that it was just some dirt and therefor I tried to rub it of. However, it appeared that it just wasn't dirt,  but rather small pits/holes in the plate.
I have the ASUS K75VJ laptop and I am worried how this will evolve.

Has anyone have ever had a similar issue? If yes, what did you do, how did you treat it?

I added a picture as an attachment. It should give you an idea what I'm dealing with.

Thank you in advance!

Well, they could, but I have no idea how I could've chipped it like that :P Anyhow, as long as the plate doesn't get eaten away, i'm good ^^
