Hi I have a 3080 fe and recently my gpu refuses to come on. Only sometimes it lights up and comes on. But rebooting and it starts to play up again.

I have tried to change slots and cleaned the slot and connector. All cables are plugged in properly.

any advice would be great as to where to start trouble shooting.

also I have purchased from scan uk and quite a few months ago repasted the gpu. It’s still under warranty till 10th jan will there be any issues because I’ve opened the gpu in the past?

Maybe, best not to volunteer the information.  Also if you’ve got any profiles set up hit the stock one before you send it in.  I take it the thing worked fine after the paste change?  Did you use Liquid Metal? It may have eaten something in which case there will likely be a problem.

Not a pro, not even very good.  I’m just old and have time currently.  Assuming I know a lot about computers can be a mistake.

Life is like a bowl of chocolates: there are all these little crinkly paper cups everywhere.

Thanx for looking. The gpu worked well after the repaste for a good few months till now. No high temperature and no problems. I didn’t use Liquid Metal just normal good quality paste.
