Good bluetooth DAC/AMP?

The control board in my headset died for the most part, it kinda works but cuts out at random and shuts off. So i decided to switch to the USB-C to 3.5mm converter for my phone and run a cord from my pocket, and wow after almost 6 years of using them they actually sound like they did new, or more specifically, way better than they did before.

With that said my Bose QC 35 II's are aging and who knows when they will finally cut out, but for now i'm making do with streaming the audio from my desktop via wifi to my phone. Unfortunately my phone is a couple of years old and the USB-C port on it isn't as stiff as it needs to be for when i'm up and moving around, or even just adjusting in my chair. I was hoping to replace the google provided adapter with a DAC/AMP i could just leave in my pocket while my phone is on it's stand, and not have to deal with the deteriorating port, and probably get better quality audio instead, and just hook it up via Bluetooth.

I don't want to get a desktop one yet because i do like the freedom of being able to walk around the house/office without having to take my headset off, and cables are less likely to get caught on things if i run it in between layers of clothing and such.

Thoughts and suggestions? I think next year i might replace my headset with something a bit higher quality, so i don't want to but a DAC/AMP now and feel the need to do so again then as well. Although i'm just getting into HiFi in general so i'm a bit new to a lot of this other than basic concepts. The reason i bought this set is because I can't wear earbuds and i want something that seals around my ears to help block out background noise (HVAC, coworkers, server racks etc.) and they sound relatively good. I'm shooting for a max of a 300$ budget as i've seen some of these things can get quite pricey.
