3060 or A750?

I am recently building a new PC, and I am wondering which GPU to buy. I am aware that the A750 sometimes surpasses the 3060 in some AAA games and benchmarks But I also have heard that a lot of problems have stemmed from ARC GPUS. I know that the 3060 is more stable but has less horsepower. I am confused.

Just driver issues, Intel hasn't sorted those as these are their first dGPUs. If you are down to pay money to essentially beta test a new platform and drivers, then grab the ARC, otherwise don't.

If you're even willing to consider dealing with Intel's driver issues and general lack of maturity, might I suggest looking at AMD? A 6650XT is cheaper than both, while also outperforming them.

Aren't the drivers for intel like multiple gb? why are they so big when Nivida's and AMD's drivers are so small?

Too many issues with ARC right now, not worth it unless you like to tinker a lot and beta test.

 

(assuming you want this PC for gaming)

 

RX 6600 XT / 6650 XT or 6700 XT may be also worth considering as these are typically cheaper or around the same price as 3060 while performing better.

Not sure where you're located, but I'm from the US, and I just hit Amazon for a quick search.

Not sure, I'm not a programmer lol. The Intel ARC driver package looks to be 1.2GB, Nvidia's current WQHL driver package for Ada Lovelace is 813MB, so Intel's driver package is only ~400MB or so bigger, not multiple gigabytes to begin with nor a massive increase over Nvidia's drivers. AMD's driver package is 546MB. 

 

I don't have an ARC so I'm not familiar with their drivers, but Intel may be including a beefier standalone software utility with them like Nvidia does (that 813MB includes GeForce Experience) vs AMD which has a lighter suite integrated into the standard driver control panel, so that could be why both theirs are larger. Barring that, it just has to be down to how the drivers work and how the installers are packaged.
