Hello. I recently bought a used PC with good specs, and pc seemed to work fine when I tested it initially. I installed some benchmark programs and the results were quite good, no issues installing these programs or anything in the few hours that I tested it. However, I decided to reinstall windows just in case and because I wanted a fresh experience (first time trying windows 11). However, after reinstalling, I've been struggling to install software, any kind of software really.

It's a bit weird because if I try multiple times, sometimes I'm able to install game launchers. But the same thing happens when I try to install games: something goes wrong.
I've tried DISM and SFC commands to try repairing whatever the cause of the issue is. This process was also a bit strange; the first time I did it I was receiving a bunch of different errors. Stuff like "Remote procedural call failed", "Windows resource protection could not perform requested operation", so basically SFC and DISM didn't work. Then I decided to reset Windows, and I was able to do the scans, and they told me there were no issues at all.

However, I'm still unable to install things properly, so nothing seems to have actually changed. I also had a couple of BSODs before and after reinstall, with the code 3b and System Service Exception. These seemed to happen randomly, while I was just downloading a file from my browser with nothing else running. I also looked into Group Policy settings, but they seemed to be correct. Also also, I had this weird issue that after a while buttons would stop working, ex. clicking Edge would not do anything, it just would not launch until I restarted the pc. Same with trying to install drivers through Geforce experience, clicking install did nothing.
After looking up all the errors I got, it seemed that the ssd could be at fault, but I did chkdsk and received no errors, and crystaldiskinfo says it's in very good shape. I spent around 6 hours straight just troubleshooting this so I'm at my wit's end.
Does anyone have any experience with this? Or any ideas on what it could be?

TLDR: Windows 11. I get errors anytime I try to install software/windows update, a couple of BSODs, SFC and DISM does nothing. Tried restarting and reinstalling windows multiple times.

To clarify, it was on Windows 11 when I got it, so I haven't tried it with Windows 10. But maybe that's worth a shot, to see if the behavior changes

If you decide to go back to a fresh install of Win10, and it works, let us know.

Well..if it doesn't work, let us know that part too, we'll hunt for other solutions

Hello again. I ended up getting help on another forum, and figured out the issue.

Just kidding. I ended up getting memtest86 installed on a USB stick, I had over 10k errors on the test which made the RAM seem like a very likely culprit. I then switched the RAM sticks with a couple of known working ones from my main PC, and suddenly things installed fully, without any error messages, and no BSODs. So it seems like it was an issue of bad RAM.
